Terms and Conditions

The pupil must be in possession of a current valid provisional driving licence. It is your responsibility to inform your instructor of any official changes to that document.

You, the pupil, must promptly make clearly known to your instructor any medical condition or other effect that may impair your ability to drive, whereupon your instructor will take the appropriate action to conform to his legal or moral obligations.

Your instructor will at all times endeavor to comply with lesson arrangements, but cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience due to unforeseen events.

We take every care to ensure that pupils receive tuition at the agreed lesson time and in the car booked, all lessons are made on the understanding that the school accepts responsibility for the postponement/cancellation of lessons due to mechanical breakdowns/instructor illness If the pupil cannot be accommodated in another car, a fresh appointment will be made as early as possible.

Some of Scotties Driving School tuition vehicles are fitted with video cameras, these cameras are fitted for insurance purposes and maybe used as a teaching aid. The cameras are forward and rear facing and record what is happening through the windscreen and rear window, they do not record the pupil.

The pupil MUST provide a minimum of 48 hours notice of any lesson cancellation otherwise the pupil will be liable to the full cost of the lesson.

Any items/personal belongings left in the instructor car is not the responsibility of the Instructor or Scotties Driving School.

Any abusive, offensive or other such conduct will not be tolerated and the driving lesson may be terminated without notice.

All blocked booked lessons MUST be taken within a 6 month period otherwise the lessons will be void.

Gift Vouchers are non refundable but are transferable. Gift Vouchers have no cash value. The Gift Voucher is valid until the date shown and must be redeemed by that date.      The gift voucher must be produced on the first lesson.

Your instructor reserves the absolute right to refuse the use of the vehicle for the purposes of taking the practical driving test if it appears in the instructor’s view that the pupil has not attained the required standard.

When booking a driving test, a joint agreement is to be made between both instructor and pupil before a practical driving test is booked. Failure of an agreement being made will result in the instructor not making the car available for the use of a driving test.

We are not responsible for the cancellation or postponement of a driving test
If your test is cancelled at short notice by the DSA, your lesson fee is still payable. Your lesson fee can be claimed by yourself from the DSA who will reimburse such expenses.

Your instructor will not be held responsible for damage or marking to clothing as a result of coming into contact with areas of the vehicle subjected to road dirt, brake dust, mechanical oils or grease when partaking in the Show Me, Tell Me section of the course or Practical Test.

Your instructor is committed to supplying a high standard of structured tuition and welcomes any constructive comments regarding the service you receive. Any complaints must be made in writing and emailed to scotties@scottiesdrivingschool.co.uk
